The Fremont Street Experience

On Friday evening we went to downtown Las Vegas to see the Fremont Street Experience.  The Fremont Street Experience is a pedestrian mall and attraction in downtown Las Vegas.  It covers about 5 blocks and the largest part of the Fremont Experience is the Viva Vision canopy and light show.  The canopy towers 90 feet above the ground and spans the length of five football fields.  Light and Sound Shows begin every night at dusk. There are more than 12 million LED modules and 555,000 watt sound system.  There are Hotels, Casinos, restaurants, shops, sound stages with free concerts, showgirls, and thrill seekers can glide beneath the canopy on a zip line ride.  So there is something for everyone.  It was fun to see the changes to downtown Las Vegas.  For those who don't know we lived in Las Vegas 1966-1969.  We have been back to Las Vegas twice, but we flew in and stayed on the strip and never had a chance to see the city.  So this has been fun.  but we don't recognize too may places.

A good place to eat...ambulance is standing by!!!

These guys were out on Fremont Street with lots of other
 interesting people.
