Summer 2012

I can't believe it is already October.  Where did the summer go!  We had a nice summer in Western Washington and the weather has been beautiful.  In June we leased an Annual  Site at the Mt Vernon Thousand Trails Park in Bow, Washington.  We are enjoying knowing we always have a place to park when we return from our trips.

We haven't taken any long trips over the last 4 months.  We go to our once a month Escapees Rallies.  Each month it is held at a different place so gives us a chance to see different places around Western Washington. In June we were at the NW Washington Fair Grounds in Lynden, up near the Canadian border.

In July our Rally was held at the Circle 8 Ranch near Cle Elum, WA.  They have a beautiful dance hall where they hold Square Dance and Round Dance workshops.  They even gave us a lesson one afternoon.  One afternoon we went to Roslyn for lunch.  The TV series Northern Exposure was filmed in Roslyn and if you watched the show you will recognize The Brick.  We had a good lunch at The Brick.
We even got Ray to Square Dance

In early July we took a day trip to Port Townsend. Ray and I were hosting the August Rally in Port Townsend, so we needed to check out the camp ground and town before the rally.
We saw several Sea Gulls and their babies as the ferry left the Coupeville docks
The Tall Ship The Chieftain was docked at Port Townsend
