On June 28th Ray, Diane, Lily and I flew out of SeaTac at 6:10am to Atlanta, GA.  We rented a car in Atlanta and drove to Athens, GA.  We went to Athens to celebrate Ray's cousin Hoyt Sappe's 80th birthday.  His daughter Lynette planned a wonderful birthday party held on Saturday, June 30th.  The party was held at Lyni's sorority house.  The house is empty for the summer and was the perfect place to hold the party.  Family and friends from GA, NC, FL, VA, TX, PA, TN & WA came to celebrate Hoyt's birthday.  We had a nice weekend except for the unusually hot temperatures in Athens.  The temps stayed over 100 with Saturday reaching 110 degrees.  Way too hot for us. We were sure happy the hotel had air conditioning.  We didn't spend too much outside, everyone even waited until the evening to go swimming.
